My hair is severly split, airy feeling, and has no body.How can i grow it back thick again?

I used to have thick hair until i got some highlights put in. now, it's just dull, limp, doenst hold a curl and i can feel my head undermy hair because it is not as thick anymore....uh...this is so depressing.....can anyone offer soem advice?My hair is severly split, airy feeling, and has no body.How can i grow it back thick again?

First, get your hair trimmed to eliminate split ends, which can split further up a hair and make it look worse. Then, buy a good shampoo that adds body. You should also get a hair repair thing like VO5 hot oil or something like that to help repair your hair. Always air dry and brush your hair very gently. Eventually, it'll grow back.
When you color your hair (highlights), the lighter colors make the hair drier and more brittle. You must be diligent in getting it deep conditioned and moisturized if you don't want to continue to lose hair. The salon is best in handling colored treated hair. You have to make sure the the correct shampoo and conditioner is even used on your color treated hair. I know what you mean. My hair gets fragile when I use color and I have to keep an every two week salon appointment in order for my hair to not fall out.
you can not fix split ends they have to be cut off.

But maybe the best thing to do is cut it and let if grow out again.

2. if you straighten your hair or curl it etc. make sure you are putting something in your hair before to protect it from getting burt
