yes I've seen it. a righty clips the left side of the five (the five takes out the ten) and the ball, with spin, takes out the seven.Is the 5-7-10 split possible to convert with a ball heavier than 12 pounds?

A slow ball with enough spin/deflection can do it, but that's unlikely. Another way is to get some help from the kickbacks or the curtain, similar to many 7-10 split conversions.
