In Royalty, what happens if Twins are born? Do they split the throne when the father dies?

Has this ever happened? In Royalty, what happens if Twins are born? Do they split the throne when the father dies?
I think it's still the same.. who ever is born first gets the throne. In Royalty, what happens if Twins are born? Do they split the throne when the father dies?
I think somebody, maybe Peter the Great had a twin and they ruled together for a time, but the twin may have been mentally challenged. Don't quote me on that, I did not look it up, I heard that maybe 20 years ago or saw it in a movie.

Usually the oldest twin would get the throne, twins are usually a few minutes apart and unless they mix them up they can tell which one is the heir. I'm sure great care would be taken that they would not be mixed up. Of course if the older twin got preferential treatment, that could cause resentment by the younger twin.
The same rule applies, even with identical twins;the FIRST-BORN is the heir. But, in countries where primogeniture is the rule,in the case of fraternal boy-girl twins, the male would inherit, even if he were second born.
The first-born identical twin would be the heir, while the second would be number two in line.If the rules of male primogeniture are used,in a fraternal twin situation, the male would be first in line, before his twin sister, birth order not withstanding.
Whoever is born first (even in twins) is the first born and will be first in line to get the thrown. If anything happens to the first born the second will take over the thrown.
Usually it happens in one of four ways: One twin will die. One will abdocate the throne. They usually fight over the throne (one kills the other). Lastly, the older or favored one gets it.
Have you seen the movie. Man in the iron mask?

That's what happens.

Or one would be killed and bricked away in the Tower of London.
Even with twins one is born first, this is noted and the first born is next in line.
If the twins were both boys or both girls, the elder would inherit the throne. If the first twin was a girl, then the throne would go to her brother.
I am pretty sure that historically, it usually ended up that one of the twins died.
The first born takes the first spot.

That's true in any major inheritance.
One is always born before the other.
The throne would go to the one who was born first by the clock.
It is highly unlikely that they will come out at the exact same time, so it all depends on who is born first.
-they fight for it
No. Is the first who comes out.
It would go to the oldest. Which ever baby came out first.
