A couple and a guy friend are travelling together. They are splitting the cost of a room. The couple would have to sleep in a full size bed (or queen if at all available). The guy friend would get the other bed. How does the room cost get divided? (The couple wouldn't mind having their own room but the guy doesn't want to pay for a full room and would not go if he had to do that). How to split the costs of a hotel room?
Good. He would not go. Let him stay home. It just ain't right for him to sleep in the same room with the couple....a bit kinky in fact! How to split the costs of a hotel room?
flash them
The front desk agent should be able to tell you the total amount for each person, and charge you 3 different ways (cards/cash) however you need to pay. If you need to know the price before checking in, call the hotel and ask them so you can be better prepared.
in half or you could be nice and have him pay one third but he gets a whole bed all to himself i say half it
To be completely fair and cause the least amount of friction, the room rate should be split by 3 as there are three of them in there. It could be charged by bed, but this is likely to cause problems and could force the single guy to cancel due to cost if money is tight.
try splitting the cost by days.
The sleeping arrangement is inappropriate. The couple must be very desperate for the guy friend to go to even think about such an arrangement. If cost is an issue, find a cheap motel. Most cities have ';no name'; family owned motels that are cheap.
you multiply the final cost by 1/3 then you have how much each person spends
(or you can divide the cost by 3)
The fairest way would be to divide the cost into thirds. The couple pays 2/3 and the single pays 1/3. At the very least, you should split the cost 50/50. Making the single pay any more than half is unfair.
Even thirds...
