I want to get toned this summer ... also Im 14 Im skinny, long and lean but not tone ( cough mid section) . I also need to get down the splits for the drill team tryouts. I mean I kick High and stuff and can get down choreography well but yeah, I have to know how to do frontal and side splits on both sides/How to get toned over summer and get down splits?
Doing splits does not come naturally. You must practise everyday every chance you get then your muscles will begin to loosen. Stretching a lot will increase the likelihood you'll be able to do splits. Stretch the thighs and hamstrings.
In terms of toning, do abs exercises. One thing people do incorrectly is that they do exercises without flexing their abs so you should hold your stomach in while doing exercises...be careful about the head too when doing crunches, do not overexert the neck. Keep it straight and facing the ceiling. Lastly, go out for jogs, that will definitely help tone your body.
Good luckHow to get toned over summer and get down splits?
Do more strength training than you usually do to tone up more, and stretch everyday for 30 min to hour (depending on how quickly you need to increase your flexibility). Don't push yourself to far down in your splits or bounce in them to stretch, you'll only pull your hamstring and be worse off. Hope I helped some
3 groups of 20 sit ups a day is the best way to get your belly toned, crunches and cycling is excellent for toning legs and like streches will make your legs flexible to be able to do high kicks. hope i helped! good luck for tryouts!
Practice and stretch a lot.
Something like pilates would probably be pretty good for you, since there is a lot of stretching and body movement that really targets your core (ie, your midsection).
I got into my splits, over a summer. just do them everyday in the morning or at night or both. but go slow, you dont wanna pull a muscle.
work out every once in a while.. stretch befor and after each workout too !!! thats always helps ur flexability and stuf :)
