How Should we split a 3 bedroom apartment ?? they are all different sizes?

Two friends and I are renting a 3 Bedroom apartment and I need help to figure out a fair cost. The biggest room is 12x16 with a walk in closet and its own bathroom. The 2nd room has a walk in closet and its 11x9. The 3rd room is 8X11 small closet. The total rent a month is 1225.00 We will split the gas and electric evenly monthly ?????? Please help any suggestions How Should we split a 3 bedroom apartment ?? they are all different sizes?
Easy. Compute the square footage of the spaces. Divide the rent by the number of square feet. Each person pays a full share for each square foot they occupy and a one-third share for each square foot of the common areas like the living room and kitchen. Kick in an extra 10% per month to be put into a savings account as a ';vacancy fund'; to cover the share of someone who moves out until a new tenant is found. How Should we split a 3 bedroom apartment ?? they are all different sizes?
When my son shared an apartment, they went by seniority. The first one in got the biggest room and so on. If you split it on a sq. footage basis then the utilities should be split that way also.

When someone moves out are you going to then move the rooms around (who gets the biggest or smallest then)? Are all three names on the lease? Who does the cleanup? Who is responsible for the cleaning supplies? Do you allow pets? What if someone leaves lights on all of the time? All of these things should be discussed and probably more that I have not listed before you sign the lease.

If you are all going to share the same space you should have some ground rules.
1. 12x16= 192 sq ft plus bath, walk in closet 51% of 379

2. 11x9 = 99 sq ft plus walk in closet 26% of 379

3. 8x11 = 88 sq ft small closet 23% of 379

379 total sq ft

1. Add 2% to 51% = 53% of rent

2. Add 1% to 26% = 27% of rent

3. pays the balance of 20% of rent

the fatest girl gets the smallest room and so on.
