This morning Florida rejected a re-vote. Makes it likely that the delegates will get seated in a 50/50 split.
Is that the end of the Clinton path to the nomination? without those re-votes is there ANY possible claim she can make on the nomination? Is it over if mich and florida get split?
Florida and Michigan should be the last people to reject anything. They were punished and everyone agreed they were not going to decide who the Dem nominee would be this time round. Let THEM take responsibility for THEIR OWN actions and stop playing the victim. Whatever is decided, they should take, yes even no delegates at all.Is it over if mich and florida get split?
There is not going to be a 50/50 split.
Why the heck to seat them at all, if you don't let them revote. Makes no sense.
If they vote again, it won't be 50/50. HRC has a much better chance to win those states on a revote.
Wishful thinking.
But what you heard was a re-vote done in a ';mail in'; manner.

A normal primary is still within play and caucas in states as big as those two is simply unlikely.
One thing for sure is that the delegates will be seated or a re-vote will occur. Try to piss off Floridian dems and see what happens when the general election comes. Thing is, if they piss off Floridian dems and do a ridiculous 50/50 split which would only benefit Obama you can be sure that will trickle down and piss off Clinton supporters widespread.
It's my understanding that Florida rejected the mail-in option, but a traditional re-vote was still on the table (although it's being opposed by some FL dem leaders.) Part of the issue is who would pay for it, and of course which side would most benefit.
We'll see.
However, I don't think ANY of the delegates are going to be seated as it stands right now. I've heard nothing of a 50/50 split. If so, that's essentially just a vote of ';present';.
Without those re-votes I don't think she stands a chance of getting the nomination. (maybe not even with those votes! Remember, Obama didn't campaign there and his name wasn't even on the ballot!) The gap is too wide between she and Obama and they continue to split these states.
This is better than a daytime drama.
No, if this would mean that the Super delegates of FL and MI will also be able to be seated and almost all of them are Hillary supporters. There are over 35 super delegates from these regions... Hopefully the super delegates will also be forced to split their votes just like the elected delegates so Hillary won't have an unfair advantage.
