Can I split A Satellite cable for more than one TV?

We have Sattlite TV for our house. three TV with a forth Reciver. Can I get a Splitter from Radio Shack and ';Split'; the feed befor the reciver and hook it to the spare Reciver? Can I split A Satellite cable for more than one TV?
No unfortunately you can not split the feed before the receiver (it will literally put half the channels on one tv and half on the other). You can put the splitter on the cable going from the receiver to the tv but the downside of this is that both televisions will be watching the exact same programming (perfect if you have a tv in another room that nobody hardly watches). Hope this helps. Can I split A Satellite cable for more than one TV?
with Directtv you can. I assume you could with DishNetwork as well. You have to have at least a duel LNB satellite dish (two cables from satellite dish). If you have a single LNB dish (only one cable) you will not be able to split the signal. Make sure you buy a satellite splitter. The one I have the directtv installer provided. It has places for both of the cables from the dish and one from an over the air antenna and then four outputs. You can buy one with 8 outputs, but it might have to be powered. I am running three TVs with separte receivers and one of those has a DVR which requires two inputs. I am not sure how HD satellite dishes work, but I believe my brother has multiple TVs hooked up to his and is using one dish.
No. You will need to run an additional run from the dish. If all 4 dish spots are used, you will need a multiswitch.
